Job Description :-

Under direct supervision, assists in the analysis, design, programming, and modification of computer programs for software products and/or customer applications.
Writes code and completes programming, testing, and debugging of applications.
Finalizes forms, procedures, and documentation needed for installation and maintenance of application programs.
May interface with marketing and users to add new or custom features to company products.
Typically requires a technical degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
4 - 6 years of experience. 
The Corporate Systems team is looking for a strong senior developer to provide application development and technical expertise in providing the Global Communications business function and employee end users with a dynamic communications tool.
Global Communications is responsible for providing timely, accurate and relevant stories and headlines to employees around the world through an existing ColdFusion application and Portal framework.
This role will be key in developing an additional component to integrate with and complement the existing ColdFusion and Portal components of the communication systems.
The individual in this role will need to partner closely with technical counterparts to accurately interpret the requirements, design, build and test a user friendly interface for both the administrators and the end users of the application.
This individual must be comfortable raising questions and issues where applicable and to engage in frank and candid technical discussions to quickly eliminate roadblocks and uncertainty.
A combination of programming, analytical skills and knowledge of project lifecycle methodology is needed.
Partner with teams in BIS Corporate Systems and Emerging Services to accurately interpret requirements for release enhancements.
Design, Develop and Test application release.
Participate in peer reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews and document test cases and results.
Provide technical suggestions and alternatives to enhance user experience within the parameters of the requirements.

Required Qualifications :-

Minimum 5 years of application development and support with core competency in Java and experience in Oracle integration with LDAP.
Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies and ColdFusion. Knowledge of Vignette is a plus.
Senior developer, able to work with little supervision.
Ability to interpret business requirements and create technical design specifications.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to thoroughly test and document all newly written code and/or functionality.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Dedicated to completing assigned tasks on time.
Ability to work alone or in a team environment to accomplish team goals.
Strong understanding of software life cycle development and best practices.
