PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WHITE PLAINS, NY
A private investment firm is seeking to hire a Vice President for its Portfolio Management team based in its White Plains, New York headquarters.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: (1) Perform financial statement and operating statement analysis; (2) Work with key parties to develop and implement restructuring plans; (3) Create and negotiate forbearance and waiver agreements with portfolio companies; (4) Prepare reports discussing performance of portfolio companies; (5) Attend board meetings and perform site inspections; (6) Mentor junior staff; (7) Communicate with external counsel and consultants.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o 3 – 5 years prior experience in related finance position: Financial advisory experience, or substantial portfolio management/restructuring experience at a lending institution
o MBA is a plus but not required
o CFA or CTP is a plus but not required
o Excellent Excel modeling skills and organizational skills
o Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
o Demonstrated self-starter who goes beyond job description to make sure goals are achieved
o Strong attention to detail
o Ability to multitask in a faced paced environment
o Ability to think quick and make decisions
o Supervisory/team leadership experience in a small team a plus
The client requires someone who has a good amount of restructuring/turnaround/bankruptcy experience. VERY
